Prevent water damage to your home by removing ice dams that were produced from melting snow on your roof.

It’s the beginning of the New Year and its important to have a New Year’s Resolution to prevent water damage to your home by doing these 5 important home maintenance items:

• Clean your pipes- de-scale your pipes overnight using vinegar. Make sure to brush up on white things you should and shouldn’t put down your dreams and what plumber suggest when cleaning your drinks.
• Clean shower heads and taps- clean your your showerheads and taps from hard water deposits by soaking them in vinegar overnight. Clean out your Fossett aerators to improve water flow.
• Clean and re-caulk- remove moldy, broken, or cracked caulk around bathtubs, showers, toilets, and sinks. We caulk these elements to keep them secure and safe from leaks, water damage, and more.
• Get rid of ice dams- remove icicles and ice dams on your roof. When they melt, they can flood your roof, causing leaks and running the wood that makes up the top of your home.
• Clean pop-up mechanisms-clean your pop-up sink mechanisms this week and ensure that you don’t have anything that’s clogging up your sink.
